about

About the Innkeeper:

Dianne came to Maine very young in the mid 1960's after military family travels. She raised her two daughters in Cornish and Bridgton Maine while hoping to one day own a Bed and Breakfast, towards this goal she restored a couple of 200 year old homes, spent a lot of time in the kitchen from after school cookies, to her own Christmas Open Houses, homemade egg rolls & fried rice selling to local markets, went on to work in the boating/yacht industry and previously owning and operating a fiberglass and boat repair business.

The opportunity and a tremendous amount of planning and drive brought her in the new chapter of her life of owning and operating this historical Inn in Beautiful Boothbay, Maine where she only vacationed over the years.

Dianne brings with her, cooking experience and all recipes made from scratch, a knowledge of period homes, restoration, the boating industry, romance, family, antiques.  Dianne is also a notary public for both weddings and business meetings or conventions.

Early coffee at 7:30, specialties include walnut pancakes, goat cheese omelets, French bread breakfast pizza, the "best" Maine home fries. Guest's may choose to enjoy breakfast in the dining room, on the porch, or out in the gardens.

In the afternoon you can relax in a hammock about anywhere in the period gardens, or sit on the rockers on the front porch enjoy a cool drink and delicious homemade snacks.

Marvelous! One of the most comfortable places, and one of the friendliest, I have stayed at in a long time. Congratulations and I wish you much success! David Kemp New York, N.Y.
